1. Who we are
Luna is a personal cycle tracking app developed to help people understand their menstrual health. References to "Luna", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to the Luna app and its developers. Our contact email is support@lunaperiodtracker.com.
2. What data we collect
Luna collects only the information you choose to enter: period dates and duration, symptoms and flow levels, cycle length preferences, your name (optional), and activity logs. We do not collect your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or any other device data. We do not collect data passively in the background.
3. How we use your data
Your data is used solely to power your personal Luna experience — to calculate cycle predictions, identify symptom patterns, and generate your health summary report. It is never used for advertising, profiling, research, or any purpose other than providing the app's features to you directly.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not share your personal health data with anyone. We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise disclose your data to third parties, advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. The only exception is if you explicitly choose to export your data yourself, such as downloading a CSV or sharing your health report — in those cases, you are in full control of where that data goes.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored in your personal Luna account on secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure (currently provided by Supabase). It is encrypted at rest and protected using industry-standard encryption in transit. Your health information is associated only with your account and is never accessible to any third party. It is never used for advertising or profiling purposes. You may delete all your data at any time from the Settings tab in the app or by contacting support@lunaperiodtracker.com.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data (via the Export feature), correct your data (via the app's editing tools), delete your data at any time (via Profile → Delete account), and withdraw from the service entirely. These rights are available to all users without restriction or charge.
7. Data retention
Your data is retained in your account for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account or request deletion, all your data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems. Any data cached locally on your device is also removed when you uninstall the app.
8. Children's privacy
Luna is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@lunaperiodtracker.com and we will address it promptly.
9. Sensitive health data
We understand that menstrual and reproductive health data is among the most sensitive personal information a person can share. We treat it accordingly. This data will never be used against you, shared with insurers, employers, law enforcement, or government entities except where we are compelled by a valid court order — in which case we will notify you to the extent permitted by law.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you within the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of Luna after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. You can always delete your account if you do not agree with any changes.
